The Fertile City

What does it mean to bring nature back into the city?  Fertile City , an exhibition in Paris explores strategies for the potential of a greener tomorrow. Fifty some projects in France and in the world,  display a common trend led by landscape architects and architects to rethink urban areas through a geographic lens. The highlight of the exhibition is an interview with Michel Couradjou who debates that the real issue between city and nature isn't about the insertion of nature itself, but about understanding the transposition of the idea of nature onto the city. For Couradjou this means understanding that nature is about the relationships that keep it alive, making the links more important than the object I.
